Independence

No manufacturer sponsorship, gift or commission determines a recommendation or the order of one. We accept no paid placements. If the best product for you is not the one that would pay us, that is still the one we tell you to buy.

We label our evidence

Every guide states what it is based on. Where a guide is a specification, warranty and serviceability comparison rather than hands-on testing, it says so plainly rather than leaving you to infer otherwise. Where we have handled a specific unit, we say what that involved and over what period. The full method is on How We Review.

No scores

We do not publish numeric ratings. A score to one decimal place asserts a measurement, and we are not going to print a measurement we did not take. Each pick carries a plain description of what it is best for instead. If we introduce scoring later, the rubric and its inputs will be published with it.

Sourcing

Specifications and warranty terms are cited to the manufacturer with the date they were checked. Where a figure cannot be sourced, we write "no data found" rather than guess. Manufacturers revise models without renaming them, so every pick links to the manufacturer's own page for you to confirm before buying.

No invented social proof

There are no testimonials, customer quotes, star ratings or traffic claims on this site, because we have not earned any yet. When there are real ones, they will be attributed and verifiable.
