Privacy Policy

Nelo Tested is an informational review site published by Nelo Automation, Maine, United States. There is no account to create and no login. This page describes the small amount of information we handle and what we do with it.

What we collect

• Your email address, if you give it to us — by subscribing for new guides or by writing to us. We use it to reply, or to send you new guides. Nothing else.
• Standard server logs. Our web server records the usual request information — IP address, time, the page requested, browser user agent and referrer — as part of serving the site and protecting it from abuse.

What we do not collect

• No third-party analytics at the time of writing. We do not currently run Google Analytics or any equivalent. If we add one, this page will name the specific tool before it goes live, and any consent your jurisdiction requires will be asked for first.
• No advertising cookies, no ad network, no retargeting pixels.
• No affiliate tracking cookies right now, because we are not currently in any affiliate programme — every product link goes to a manufacturer page. See the affiliate disclosure. If that changes, a retailer may set its own cookie when you click through, controlled by that retailer under its own privacy policy, and this section will be updated to say so.
• We never sell or share your personal information.

Fonts

The site loads a typeface from Google Fonts, so your browser makes a request to Google's servers and your IP address is visible to Google in the course of that request.

Who else handles it

• Hetzner — the servers that host this site and record the request logs above.
• Google — web font delivery only.
• Telegram — used internally to notify us that a message or subscription arrived.

We may also disclose information where the law requires it. If the business is ever sold, this policy follows the data.

How long we keep it

• Email addresses — until you ask us to remove yours, or until we stop publishing. Every email we send will include a way to unsubscribe.
• Server logs — a short operational period, then rotated.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it — email neloautomation@gmail.com and say which. We reply within 30 days. Residents of California and other US states with comprehensive privacy laws have rights to know, delete, correct and to opt out of sale or sharing; we do not sell or share personal information as those laws define it, and we will not treat you differently for exercising a right.

Children

This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. A change that affects information we already hold will be described here rather than made quietly.
